Wall of Silence – Explorations into Secret Science: Volume IV
Innovations in the Aerospace Field
Volume IV presents a bold and critical analysis of the stagnation in contemporary aerospace technologies. Drawing attention to the fading momentum of human space exploration, the authors question why major breakthroughs have slowed and argue that vital scientific knowledge has been marginalized or deliberately hidden.
Through technical insights and historical investigation, the book challenges conventional narratives and proposes that the future of aerospace advancement may depend not on speculative technologies, but on rediscovered, underutilized knowledge—such as the Coandă effect and other early 20th-century innovations.
A provocative and well-documented contribution to the field, this volume appeals to both scientific experts and readers interested in alternative approaches to space technology.
Praise for this book
“Almost permanently adopting a critical attitude, the authors give voice to the growing discontent regarding those managing space programs. This volume raises important and often overlooked questions about the lack of progress in human space exploration, the stagnation of technology, and the abandonment of scientific exploration in favor of commercial and utilitarian goals. The book argues that many public research programs were just a cover for classified projects, and that a true scientific paradigm—based on forgotten discoveries and historical inventions—has been deliberately ignored or obscured.”
“This book provides an original strategic viewpoint, which distinguishes it from the vast majority of specialized literature. It bridges historical and technical aspects of aerospace development while uncovering patterns of stagnation and conceptual limitations. By highlighting technologies and inventions that were either misunderstood or deliberately neglected—such as the Coandă effect—the book points to missed opportunities and proposes a radical re-evaluation of space science.”
“A compelling work that investigates the aerospace crisis through a historical and technical lens. The authors show that some technologies developed in the past could offer viable solutions today, but were forgotten due to errors in judgment or intentional suppression. This volume challenges conventional scientific narratives and suggests that innovation may come not from speculative futures, but from rediscovering overlooked knowledge from the past.”
Coordinator’s Note – Volume IV
Wall of Silence – Explorations into Secret Science: Innovations in the Aerospace Field
Maintaining a predominantly critical stance, the authors of this work give voice to growing discontent that has accumulated over decades regarding the management of space exploration programs. The once-vibrant enthusiasm for cosmic conquest has notably faded. Major technological advancements have slowed, and human presence in space has been reduced to utilitarian and commercial functions—such as telecommunications and satellite-based services like GPS. Space access has become a matter of economic profitability rather than scientific pursuit, and the era of bold space exploration has largely come to an end.
In this context, Volume IV offers a rigorous historical and technical analysis of the stagnation that characterizes post-war aerospace technologies. While Volume III charted the evolution of aviation and the early ambitions of spaceflight, this volume critically evaluates the current state of space science. The authors argue that strategic missteps and foundational misconceptions have led to a systemic crisis in aerospace development. They contend that the solution to this crisis may lie not in future breakthroughs, but in forgotten knowledge—technologies and concepts from the past that have been ignored, suppressed, or deliberately obfuscated.
The book examines overlooked inventions, such as the Coandă Effect, and proposes that earlier discoveries may hold the key to overcoming the stagnation of modern aerospace efforts. It further suggests that counterintelligence operations may have actively misled the public and scientific community, masking true research with false data to protect classified programs.
Ultimately, the authors put forth a bold idea: that two sciences have evolved in parallel—an official, public-facing science, and a “secret science” hidden behind a wall of silence.
